Great meat prices but customer service sucks, the girl on the register right now acted like we inconvenienced her while she was playing on her phone, she was slinging groceries as she rang them up, putting the cold items in with boxed items not stacking or placing anything just throwing them in. First time I've ever wished I'd went somewhere else and I've been shopping here for almost two years, her name was Eden and I won't go to her register again. July 6, 2017
I need to go to other places and spend a small amount more for things like Very Vanilla Soy milk, NonDairy Ice Cream and personal toiletries, also their cereal prices are often really high for a discount store, but over all it's an inexpensive and friendly place to shop in Alcoa and one of my favorite grocery stores.
Be warned, the building is old and hardly looks like a Publix, Kroger or Ingles but, it's worth the sacrifice on luxury shopping and saves me an average of about $50-100 on my grocery shopping.
Discounted groceries and sometimes unexpected finds. Good deals.
Cheaper prices just check expiration date
I Always shop here first before going to other stores. You cannot beat the prices on deli meat, bacon, and other staples. I get 3 times the amount of groceries for the price than I do the other stores I shop. As a single mom buying for two children, every little bit of money saved helps! I recommend this store to everyone I know. If you have yet to go here, keep an open mind because the store is very old, and sometimes smells a little funky, but you CANNOT beat the prices on many things.
I shop here regularly, watch expiration dates, but I can buy (almost) enough healthy food for a family of 6 for about $150 to last all week.
