Wow this place is a disaster. if u ever need to make payment plans GOOD LUCK. They will tell u its ok but then cut ur power off that next day. Not just that but if ur power gets turned off and u pay it don't expect their crew to make it out ur way till 3 to 4 hours later. hell i waited 6 hours just last month. oh and don't expect to get any answers as to y the arrangements u made didn't work out because they'll just say well we need a name. u give em a name and its still not enough information because they didn't know what was said due to no note in ur account that they were supposed to put in there for u. hoping to god somebody new gets in charge of this place or i might just have to move just to avoid them. if u move to Alcoa good luck
During a severe storm we got hit with lightning which blew our transformer. There was many areas without power yet they were able to arrive within 30 min and determine that our transformer was bad. They got a new transformer and had our power restored a short time later which I was not expecting as we live in a remote area. GREAT JOB!
This lady Connie Williams is a joke. Alcoa Utility erroneously turned off my power one week after I paid the bill because the accounting department misquoted my total by $120. This was the last of a $900 overcharge I paid due to a water leak 3 months ago, of which I had no control. I was cycled through 3 different departments over the phone before dragging my 1 year old son out of bed and driving down to confront them in person. Apparently, Connie is ok with turning off the power and water of paying customers while jeopardizing the sleeping conditions of small children in the dead of winter. She seems to be more concerned with collecting revenue and arguing over her “feelings” rather than correcting the mistakes made by her department. If Alcoa Utility Services commits an error, you as the consumer will bear the cost of that error. You will suffer whatever inconvenience occurs because people like Connie Williams are self-absorbed statists on a bureaucratic power trip. False Christians. These people are useless.
not sure if they even deserve the 1 star rating... everytime it rains and i mean it can BARELY rain... the lights flicker and the power surges atleast 3 or 4 times then the power will go out. It can be sunny (like the other day) and the power will go out. I use to have maryville electric and HAD NO problems when it would barely rain. Alcoa electric needs to update their substations or something because the power has gone out too many times this year.
I've lived here for 4 years and I have lost power more times than I can count. Terrible simply terrible
