I have used My Pets for their veterinary services, as well as boarding for my two Fur Ball Pups faithfully. If you're looking for a professional, compassionate, affordable company that has a good set of morals...then look no further. I live in West Knoxville and have no problem driving to Alcoa for their consistently over the years. My Pets Animal Hospital is worth the drive.

Sasha and the entire staff are the best vet clinic I have ever went to. As long as I'm in East Tennessee, I won't be going anywhere else. I board my dog here while I'm on business trips and I've brought him in for routine check ups and shots as well as emergencies when my bluetick hound tore his ear and snagged a vein. World class service at an exceptional price.

I always take my dog to My Pets in Alcoa for boarding, bath, grooming, and all her health needs. I feel very comfortable leaving her there when we go on vacations or just an overnight stay. She (Zoey) never seems to mind going there and is always loved on by the people who work there. The doctors, groomer, and all personnel are very friendly, kind and caring of the animals.

Great place, very caring and very clean. When we had to put our cat down, they were very compassionate and also donated $100 to a great cause in Brook's name. We have taken our dog on several occasions and have had great caring service. Recently we saw Dr Sasha and she was very informed of the new treatments out there and so far so good. Next try is the boarding for our dog.

I've taken pets here for over 30 years (before MyPets owned it), and I've given them good reviews in the past, but I've noticed a troubling trend my last three visits. It is no longer about service... It is about money. The vets are well-trained, but it is so obvious that this place is totally driven by a well-oiled corporate sales plan. My average wait times (with an appointment) these past three visits has averaged 20 minutes to see the tech, 15 more to see the vet (who spent a grand total of four minutes in the room), then 20 minutes more for the tech to return with "the plan." Watch out, because they "plan" to clean you out! I honestly think they send the tech to break the bad news because the vet is embarrassed. The "plan" starts with the "We want you to be comfortable" speech. Regardless of how minor the problem, it's always something similar to, "These things can cost up to 1k, or more, but we'll let you choose from our menu." Sure! You can spend as much as you like, and I can fly to Mayo Clinic next time I sprain my ankle! My elderly poodle had a troubling cough my previous visit, so I fell for it and spent too much on tests. This time was the same routine, but I chose to have them express her anal glands, and they sent her home with nausea pills... Problem solved for less than $60... I think I need the nausea pills worse than the dog does. I honestly felt like I was in the closing office of some sleazy timeshare scam, and I told them so. Everyone apologized and claimed their "bosses" make them do that to protect them from the liability of "possibly missing something." Possibly missing a hidden dollar in your wallet! It's time to hang up your lab coat when a vet has to be complicit with slick corporate sales plans and place the customer's and pet's best interest last. What happened to the honest vets, like the previous owner of this establishment, who treated animals as if they were their own and recommended only the necessary and sensible treatment?
